Hired to write Day 1 keynote speeches for Smartsheet's CEO and executives for the company's inaugural customer conference in the EMEA region. CEO Mark Mader discussed how human ingenuity and AI-powered technology are creating opportunities to unlock potential. Smartsheet VP of Product Management Miya McClain hosted a live customer showcase with a representative from the International Olympic Committee. And Product Experiences SVP Ben Canning unveiled the latest product features and future-forward tools to help customers reshape how their business operates and executes at scale.
Scripted CEO's 30-minute opening keynote speech for company's 2022 in-person annual customer conference. After a brief introduction from the company's Chief Customer Officer, Accela CEO, Gary Kovacs, praised the customers and programs that enabled modernization for communities around the world. He rolled out a new Disaster Recovery product to help hurricane-impacted areas, and proudly announced a new tagline for the company, the heart of government. Scripted CEO's 20-minute opening keynote speech for company's 2020 annual customer conference, delivered virtually. Speech celebrated the company's customers and their ability to pivot to a digital-first mindset during the pandemic, and the importance of an accelerated timeframe for transforming government service delivery. Wrote this op-ed on behalf of Accela's CEO to be printed in POLITICO and distributed to all attendees of the National League of City’s 2019 Congressional City Conference. Goal of the piece was to highlight the importance of digital service delivery in state and local governments.
When the pandemic hit, Accela quickly reimagined their annual in-person customer event to a 100% online format. Launched a brand rejuvenation project to help distinguish company from sea of sameness amongst competition. Conducted employee and customer surveys to test market sentiment. Created tag line, The Heart of Government, and brand position reflecting a company who cares, has soul, and sits at the heart of our customers' operations and success. Scripted video to share new positioning to customers, employees and board members.
Scripted the 2-minute opening video for company's annual customer conference, Accelarate. I was also responsible for the creation and roll-out of the overall conference theme, Our Path Forward.
Wrote the script for this opening video on the conference theme of Government elevated, which suggests that imagining what's possible is no longer a luxury, but the very definition of relevance for state and local governments today.
Wrote the script and directed the production of a cloud gaming start-up's sizzle reel. Video was shown in the company's booth at multiple electronic entertainment events and on the website.
Crafted script for overview video to introduce 20-year-old company to prospective partners, customers and employees. The video is played in the company's booth at trade shows and industry conferences.
Authored a series of 6 children's books celebrating special moments and developmental milestones for little ones ages 0-5. Secured a book publishing contract during the COVID-19 pandemic. The books are available through major online retailers, local bookstores and gift shops, and at www.writingforkids.shop.
Co-partner on the creation and launch of a new line of dog treats with health benefits blended into the recipe. Named after my childhood dog, Checkers is the first brand of pet food in market to feature a nutrition panel on back-of-pack akin to what is on human food packaging. Collaborated on recipe creation, package design, in-store and customer marketing strategy, and development of overall Checkers brand and 'voice'. Set to launch Fall 2024. www.checkerspetfood.com

Created ad copy for a brochure that was distributed to attendees of a charity dinner. The event calls out one local government official to receive a 'roasting' by sponsors. The lucky recipient of this roast was LA Council member, Joe Buscaino.
Wrote copy for ad to be featured in Journal of Environmental Health promoting the work government departments do as essential, and encouraging awareness of the company's environmental health newsletter as a source for industry updates and info.
A medical insurance broker/corporate benefits client was looking for a way to differentiate their services in a crowded marketplace -- nothing a new company name, logo and brand identity couldn't address, as well as this fun marketing piece delivered to prospects just before the Easter holiday.
Tied to the theme of the annual virtual event, Meeting Our Moment, wrote an informative infographic to help guide conference attendees in structuring their daily schedules. calling out a few must-sees.
The booth theme for NLC's City Summit conference was 'Elevated Digital Services'. To tie to the theme, we commissioned an oxygen booth vendor to offer scented hits of oxygen to booth visitors (which was quite popular!) These promo cards were handed out to breakout sessions attendees and around the event venue.
In alignment with the conference theme of Government Elevated, we hosted a customer appreciation event at Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum in Denver, CO. I wrote the copy for this flyer to be handed out to attendees in advance of the evening.
Drafted this email to support a marketing campaign celebrating the work government agency employees and city leaders do every day. Tied messaging to National Superhero Day. The email CTA was a 3-question quiz to help gov leaders assess what type of superhero they most closely identified with, which then took them along individual content paths.
